Welcome to HYSA Field Hockey!

Our Field Hockey Program is designed to introduce young players to the sport of field hockey, with the opportunity to teach them the fundamentals and concepts of field hockey while having fun. We offer our programs to both Harwinton and Burlington residents in grades 3rd through 8th. Our primary season is in the fall, and runs for approximately 8-10 weeks. Off season, we also offer an indoor winter program for grades 2nd through 12th.

Our Program

The program is run by several coaches under the direction of Kim Falconer.  Our coaches are all qualified former players, who played for strong programs throughout the Northeast, including Lewis Mills, Thomaston High, Canton High, Wamogo, Randolph High in NJ, UCONN, Babson, and Mitchell College. They all have a passion for the sport and have so much fun teaching and coaching the players!

Coaches for the 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade teams are Kim Falconer and Kristen Murray. Practices Begin on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at Lewis Mills High School. Practices will be every Wednesday from 5:30-7:00pm as the days get shorter, we will end practice a little earlier. 3rd/4th grade games will be held on Saturdays date and Time TBD. 5th/6th grade games are every Sunday at 2:30 with an occasional Saturday game. There will be no games held Columbus Day Weekend. Schedules will be posted over the next few weeks.
